St. James's Place plc ordinary shares

SJPC was today notified of the acquisition, on 15 March 2002, of 325,000 ordinary shares of 15p in SJPC, at a price of 277.15p per share, by S G Hambros Trust Company (Guernsey) Limited. S G Hambros Trust Company (Guernsey) Limited is trustee of the SJPC Employees Share Trust, the potential beneficiaries of which include executive directors and employees of the SJPC Group.
