St. James's Place Capital ("SJPC") was informed on 10 January 2005 that following an increase in the issued share capital of SJPC as a result of the exercise of share options, HBOS has an interest in 263,599,813 ordinary shares of 15p each (representing 59.991% of SJPC's issued share capital).
